It is General Conference today and Jack must not have enough patience to sit and watch it. What?!?! A 2-year-old can't sit quietly and watch people talk about spiritual things for 2 hours at a time? No? How about just a prayer OR a song? No again? Yeah, I'm really hoping he's a typical 2-year-old...anyhoo...
Jack must have really been feeling left out while Britton and I were watching Conference and needed some attention. He asked to watch a movie downstairs (among about a million other things), so we put it on for him, but he still wanted us to be down there with him. When he realized his regular "whiny" requests weren't working, the kid was smart enough to change tactics.
Britton had gotten Jack a snack; some cookies (oreos, no less), and came back upstairs to watch Conference (yet again). This is when Jack changed his tactic. Britton hears Jack calling from downstairs in a cute, sing-song voice: "Daddy! Come down here...I've got cookies!!".
So, Jack, at his young age, is pretty smart for 2 reasons:
#1 - He already understands bribes (Hmmm, wonder where he learned that from...getting a dum dum sucker for every time he has dry underwear after going potty in the toilet...hmmmm).
#2 - He already understands his daddy's sugar addiction, HAHAHA!
But poor Britton, when he got downstairs Jack offers him the oreos sans creme filling!! Boy is that a sly kid or what - trying to get his "cake (or cookies in this matter) and eat it too"!! LOL!
