Funny Jack, 2

So, I don't think that I am a great parent, and this story will support that theory.  To realize how funny this really is, you have to understand that Jack is absorbing EVERYTHING these days...it's truly uncanny at times.

Anyway, I put Jack to bed and of course (being 2) he has a million requests in order to avoid sleeping.  Britton had gone to check on him when he said he needed to potty, so he let him go and the kid only managed to squeeze out a couple drops.  Then every time Britton turned to leave, Jack said, "wait!".  Britton would turn around and Jack would ask him to lay down with him.  He did that like 3 times before Britton finally left the room.  Jack was quiet for a while, then we hear him shouting from behind his closed door...

Sweet voice:  "Daddy, come here!" (notice how he's asking for daddy and not mommy - it's 'cause I'm the mean parent), "Come here please!", "Come here please, Daddy!", "Please come here!"

Then his voice turns uncharacteristically stern for his age:  "Come here, Daddy!" (imagine each word is grunted out with a force that makes him pause after each syllable), "Daddy, COME HERE!", "Come here NOW!!" (this is where it gets good)
"NOW!...1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9!!!"

I normally only count to 5 when I am being "stern" with Jack, but he felt it necessary to count all the way to nine.  Britton and I bust up laughing as silently as possible.  And when Jack counts, he almost always leaves out the number 2.  Funny how, when he's immitating me, he gets it right.  Hmmmm, I'm a little afraid to leave him at anyone's house for fear of which one of my horrible habits he's going to expose next.  I better get my act together now, although I fear I may be already to late, hahahaha.
