Ok, so I promised myself I would be off the computer by midnight. I feel like I need to post something, but I guess I feel like I don't have anything to say...maybe just an update.
Britton finished the semester and is now clerking for a Judge in Salt Lake. I think he really likes it. I KNOW I sure like how much he has been around since finals are over. We have had so much fun! We have played with Jack, gone for drives, toured model homes (one of our favorite past times) and just enjoyed each other.
Jack is just about the cutest boy ever! I love to make him laugh...it's pretty easy too :D He loves to get down and go. We really can't go anywhere without him want to be off exploring the new surroundings. Grocery shopping is virtually impossible even with the two of us. I have been going by myself lately, or Britton will just drive Jack around in the car as I promise to hurry as fast as I can. Oooh, great news! We sat through a whole sacrament meeting this past Sunday! Jack was such a busy boy as usual, and I did have to take him out for the actual sacrament, but we came back in right after and somehow we were able to keep him busy the rest of the time. He really loves those magna doodle toys, so we were going to get him one tonight when we made a quick trip to the store, but the only ones were pink and purple...too girly for (Jack). But I think we will definitely have to get one before this Sunday.
I got Stephenie Meyer's new book The Host for Mother's Day and I LOVED it! I was happy to hear there might be more books in that series. I really need to get back into a reading routine. I really love to read, but I've never been good at searching out the books. If someone recommends a book, I'm all over it...
Anyway, we are great and our summer has been wonderful so far. We are so blessed!

Some pictures...
I need a new post, so I found some pictures from this month...
Jack was invited to a friend's birthday party at a nice park up in Salt Lake, and it was a nice day!

Trying to whack the pinata

He finally figured out that he needed to pick up the candy

Jack is so addicted to Sesame Street...I came downstairs to find Jack had gotten a pillow off the couch and was sitting right on top of it. I don't even know if he blinked the whole hour.

Good News and Bad News
I'll start with the bad news...
Yesterday I got really mad at the computer and instead of being patient, I gave in to my emotion and slammed the laptop with my hand. Britton was in the room and immediately tried to calm me down by telling me that I probably broke it and that I can't hit the computer, blah blah blah...
Well, the point is - I really did break it. I feel more than horrible about it. Windows won't even boot up. AARRRGGHHHHHH! How could I have done that????
During the aftermath, I vowed that I would sacrifice my mobility for computer access...selling a car so I could use the money to buy a new computer. Yeah, I know I was being a bit melodramatic. We haven't been able to laugh about it yet, but one day it will be funny.
Ok, so the good news...
Britton has a laptop that he uses for school, so I will be able to use that one until he heads back next semester. Also, I still have my old dinosaur - my Dad gave me this laptop Christmas of '99 I think, and he had it some time before then. It really is unbelievably old, but as you can see it gets the job done! I just hope it can hold out for 2 more years.
Well, we haven't taken our other laptop in to be looked at yet, but I have no hope or faith that it will be ok with less than $100 repair. I'm pretty sure we will just see if we can get the hard drive "saved" onto a disk. This old dinosaur is still running on Windows '98 and I would love to upgrade it (as well as the microsoft office), but I guess that all takes money.
I'm sure there are so many more blessings that I haven't been able to see because of the remorse blocking my vision. Britton has been so kind through the whole thing...understanding that I am punishing myself plenty for the both of us because it's really just me who looses out in the deal.

A Much Needed Change
So, I finally changed my background as you can see. What I love about it is that I didn't loose all my widgets (links and pictures and extras that I personally added to my blog), WAHOO!!!
There aren't a ton to choose from, but they are ALL super cute! Check out the "Cutest Blog on the Block" link under "Other Fun Sites" if you're interested...
And a big THANK YOU to my friend Christy who helped me out and didn't even know it!! :D
