I just LOVE this cutie-patootie and can't believe that he's so big already!  Becky was amazing enough (as usual) to take these shots for me and I love how they turned out.  THANKS, KIRBY!!!

I love these boys!

Miles started eating baby food the first of January.  This looks like green beans or peas, so I am SUPER surprised we got a smile out of him...he's NOT a big fan of the green veggies!

He was still learning "how" to eat and it was pretty fun to watch.

While we were in North Carolina, Jack's Grandpa wanted to take Jack to see the movie 'Planet 51', but it never worked out...probably because we had only ever tried to take Jack to the movies once before and it didn't work out.  We weren't quite sure how he would behave and then time ran out, blah blah blah.  So we thought we'd give it a go a couple Saturday's after we got back.  I got to go on a Mommy-Son date with Jack while Britton stayed home with Miles.  I took in his car seat for him to sit in, and yes (I'm a horrible person, I know!) I snuck in a lunchable and a sippy cup so he could have lunch while he watched the movie.  He sat through the whole thing and had a great time!

Oh my heaven's this is hilarious to me!  I had made Jack some lunch and let him eat it on the floor while he watched a show one day.  I made him macaroni and cheese and gave him some broccoli, cauliflower and carrots with ranch.  He started calling up the stairs to me "I need some more vegetables!" over and over while I rushed to find the camera so I could record it.  Once I finally found the camera I kind of had to prompt him to say it again, just so I could record it.  Seriously - a 2 1/2 year old that's begging for more veggies (especially since he hadn't even touched his mac-n-cheese)!!!  LOL!

We had a family dinner on the Sunday before coming home.  It was so nice to visit with Aunt Janice & Uncle Roy, Paul & Sandy, Erik, Jenny & Haleigh, Kylie & Brian and of course Dad, Christy and McKenzie.  Dinner was delicious, Thank you, Christy!

This is hilarious!  Jack totally picked up a southern accent while we were out there.  I'm glad we caught it on video.  Not only is it funny to watch him "dancing" around in Uncle Boe's room (that he graciously let us crash in), but if you listen closely you will notice that "dance" has not 1, but 2 syllables..."DAY-ance"!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So, I'm behind on my blogging as you all know already, but I thought I would get down to business while we are sick.  I'm trying to "rest" (well, as much as a mother can, anyway) and thought this would be the perfect thing to do while we wait to leave for our doctor appointments.  I've got a lot of catching up to do...now, where were we?  Oh yes, Christmas!

We spent Christmas day in North Carolina with my Mom and Papa (and brothers and sister too).  It was such a fun day.  The whole Santa and presents deal finally clicked this year for Jack and it was TOO fun watching Jack's excitement with every present he opened...or that anyone else opened too.

These happen to be the coolest little tweezers ever!  They even came in their own tiny little carrying tube.

Santa also brought my siblings Guitar Hero to go along with their Wii, and as soon as the box was opened, Jack's sticker radar went off.  Before you could count to 5, Jack had the majority of the guitar stickers displaying proudly on his person.

Mmmmm, I'm pretty sure "Mom's Big Christmas Breakfast" is the Christmas tradition I miss most from home.  Grits, eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy, bacon, fried potatoes and orange juice!

Our Christmas Feast!  My Mom is the BEST cook and, for me, going home for a visit is almost always most exciting because of Mom's cooking (can you tell I like food!?!?!)  We had roast beef with au jus, roasted onion red potatoes, brussel sprouts (my request), broccoli and cheese sauce, salad, rolls, Martinelli's sparkling juice to drink, and Edward's chocolate creme and key lime pies for dessert.  DELICIOUS, Thank you, Mom!!!
