Christmas Morning

Well, it has certainly taken me long enough to get this all out, huh? Better late than never, I hope!? Christmas morning was so much fun. Britton and I didn't have to wake up until Jack did, which was around the normal time of about 8:30am. I think he knew something was different because of how we were acting. After we went downstairs, we let Jack play some before starting. He found the avent calendar right away. I thought for sure he would go for the wrapped boxes with bows and ribbons...but I think the magnets were more fun.

He was really excited once we started opening toys.

Jack thought playing with the wrapping paper was so fun, that he had to go dig some out of the trash can.
Grandma and Grandpa came to see what Santa brought Jack for Christmas.
Naptime even comes on Christmas...I love the squishy lips!
Later that day, I decided I wanted to make cinnamon rolls. I keep forgetting how long it takes, but I would like to make it a tradition, except I would rather do it on Christmas Eve. That way, we can warm some up for breakfast on Christmas Day.

I don't think I have the best memory, so I may be corrected. I remember cinnamon rolls being a Christmas-time tradition at my house growing up. My mom makes THE BEST cinnamon rolls! If my mom's rolls were a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10, then the ones you see me making in the picture would probably be around a -4. If you were one of the few that got to taste them and you thought they were alright...well, just know that there is perfection out there somewhere.

Cinnamon Rolls!!!!! I haven't had them in forever!!! I should totally make some cause seriously they don't get better than moms! So I have talked to becky and she says she looked at it. I guess she is just a slacker and doesn't leave comments...Idk.

I love the picture of Jack sleeping. Poor thing, Christmas can be tiring. Also, I am impressed with even trying to make cinnamon rolls. If I ever feel like cooking for hours...I will call you.

Christmas with kids is so much more fun! Glad you guys had a good one. And I'm impressed you made cinnamon rolls . . . I only make things that come out of a box!

p.s. I love your hair . . . is it darker?

I love your Christmas pics! It surprises me how blonde little Jack is when you and Britton are so dark! Those cinnamon rolls sound so yummy! Maybe you should bring those as the nursery snack next week! :)

I swear almost every close-to-one-year-old baby I know of got one of those stacking toys. They are classics. Looks like you had a great Christmas!

So, I didn't see you in nursery today. Are they going to replace you or what. I am hoping you keep me updated because I am going to be missing church in the near future. GOOD LUCK!
