Britton's Hot Wing Challenge

A bunch of students from Britton's law school decided to get together to complete a hot wing challenge. I now forget the name of the place they went to, but this restaurant rates the sauce spicy/hotness on a scale from 1 to 11, 11 being the hottest.

The challenge is to eat 11 hotwings coated in the #11 sauce within 11 minutes, and the prize is a t-shirt (and getting your picture on the wall? - I don't remember it all).

Britton thought he would participate, so here are some pictures from the event. By the way, out of the 12 people who participated, Britton came in 4th place by finishing 4 1/2 hot wings before giving up in defeat.

Also, Britton ended up tossing his cookies about 15 minutes after he finished. He said that there were others that were jealous because he threw up so quickly. I think his system is STILL messed up, poor guy!

Preparing the feast

Ready, set...

...Burn your taste buds/lips/throat/fingers/cheeks!
(Seriously, this doesn't look fun)

Getting all messy

His eyes were watering, his right eye twitching, and I don't know if you can tell by this picture, but his whole neck broke out into a rash

Everyone who participated...the girl in the black won, followed closely by the guy right beside her in the white t-shirt. Can you see how red their cheeks are from the sauce?

Is this what law school makes you do? Very impressive, and probably worth it!

Thanks for your comments about Maddie. Right now, she is my "child" and I love coming home to her, and pretty much everything about her. Dogs really are sweet friends. I am always glad to find a kindred dog lover! Maybe once law school is over you can buy a huge house and get a puppy!

Impressive...I am sure that I couldn't even get one down. You will have to find out the name. Maybe we can get a few people from the ward together for a contest.

Britton is a braver person than I. I just can't handle hot and spicy things very well. Jer was impressed too.

Way to go Britton!!! Please don't do that to yourself again! Unfortunately, I think Rich may be a little too curious about this.

I love stuff like this.....lets seriously have a contest in the ward. Maybe for a ward activity or something.....Bluffdale 11th Survivor!! I am glad I could help with the clubhouse, and that it worked out!

This sounds like a lot of fun. I LOVE hot wings. Although I don't think that I have ever had any that hot. We really should have a contest in the ward it would be fun. Also thanks for the play day on Thurs. It was just what we needed. I would love to do a girls night so just let me know.

Thats so crazy! I would have died probably. I made chimichangas last week with a little too much hot sauce and we could hardly eat them.
