Locked Out

I actually woke up earlier than Jack this morning without setting an alarm, which is categorized as a miracle in this house. (I am such a sleep lover!) So, I decided to get things going early since I had some visiting teaching to do. Normally I don't even leave the house, at least I haven't for the past couple days anyway. Wednesday is normally the day I head over to the library, and since I checked out movies last week, I need to return them today anyway, so I figured that today would be a busy day.

I was actually a little late for the first appointment because Jack was being needy and decided that his normal helping of oatmeal for breakfast wasn't going to cut it this morning, but he lightened up after he downed a cup of yogurt. (I really am grateful that he's a good eater, although I can't really imagine my kids being anything but, since I am a food lover as well.)

We had about an hour and a half in between appointments, so I thought I could fit in a nap for Jack. I was wrong! When I got home, I realized that I had locked the door behind me as I left. Normally this isn't a problem. I usually drive when I leave the house and I have the garage door opener in the car with me. So I haven't noticed that I haven't had a house key for almost 2 months now. (Maria and Jeremy, prepare for an ear-full!)

Oh, it's not really their fault I don't have a house key. I guess it was Britton who took it off my key ring to give it to them when they came down to visit for Thanksgiving. Let's see...is there anyone else I could point a blaming finger at (except myself of course who could never be at fault :P)?? Because I just might! Just kidding. I'm not mad, I promise.

Lucky for me I have great friends and family. Leslie let me hang out at her place until Britton's sister Tiffany brought me the key that had been at my inlaws house. (She had to drop everything and go over to get it for me by the way). Thank you, Leslie! Thank you, Tiffany! Thank you, Erin (even though you weren't home, you are too awesome)!

Oh no! I better make sure I have a key to me house! Iusually just take my car key and nothing else, if my garage door didn't work I'd be stuck. Glad that you have friends to hang out with till you could get back in!

Hello! I definitely don't care that you found my blog! Oh, man, I have done that too many times to count! I finally gave my key to the neighbors but to my dismay I locked myself out and they weren't home so once again I found myself having to call Colin to come to the rescue! I owe a shout out to your hubby Britton! He is the best! He helped me shovel my walks the other day! What a good guy!

Oh man, remind me to tell you my locked out of the house story...it happened twice. Needless to say, I always check twice or more to see if I have keys or if I'm leaving with my hubby, I make sure he has keys. Lunch today was sooo fun! Thanks for making the trip and for bringing the little man along...he's adorable!
